Aphrodite and Anchises

Aphrodite desired a man from Troy named Anchises. To try and seduce him she transformed into a mortal woman. To do this, she went back to her homeland where she was bathed and perfumed. Then she dressed up nice and was transformed into a young princess from modern day turkey. When she saw him, she told him that her father wanted him to marry her because he was noble. He didn't know what he was doing and was so in love with her. They had 2 sons together. But one day, Aphrodite put on her true identity. When he saw he was terrified and asked her to spare his life. She told him that he had nothing to be afraid of as long as he told no one that he slept with a goddess. When he got drunk, though, he began telling people. This annoyed Zeus so he crippled him by striking him with his lightening bolt.
